Mortgage Adviser (Employed)

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your financial advice career with an experienced business that has supported mortgage advisers since 1996.  Our focus on whole of market access and our specialist mortgages expertise means that no solutions are withheld from advisers.  Our group structure not only provides greater opportunities with products and services but enables the business to earn commissions over and above standard brokerage levels as well as generating significant lead opportunities for advisers.

Mortgage advisers within Brilliant will have a fantastic platform and a huge opportunity.

Key requirements are:

  • Ambitious and driven to grow your own career as a financial adviser.
  • Full CeMAP or equivalent mortgage advice qualification and some mortgage advice experience.
  • You must be a ‘Fit and Proper Person’ as per the regulator’s guidelines.
  • Confident and capable of advising clients over a telephone and video meeting facilities.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work within the company’s framework of systems and procedures.
  • Self motivation, ambition and drive to develop your skills and your client bank.

Successful candidates will benefit from:

  • All software and systems needed to transact business including bespoke  CRM Software integrated Twenty7tec for mortgage sourcing and with open banking and credit check integrations too.
  • Full training, compliance, competence and supervision support.
  • Administrative support – on demonstration of an understanding of our entire mortgage advice process you will be given access to our mortgage support team.
  • Access to internal mortgage experts in every mortgage area across every mortgage product.
  • Expert support on the most complex of cases including difficult to place mortgages, second charges, bridging and commercial mortgages providing you with the clarity needed to give your clients the highest quality advice.

Reporting

The role will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Further Information

The hours required will be determined by the Operations Manager but must be based around the needs of the business and the clients of the business.  It will require some evening work and some work on weekends in the event that this is required by clients or the business.  Standard office opening hours are 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday but the candidate should expect to work as required beyond these standards (standard industry practice).  The candidate can be based remotely and work from anywhere but ideally the candidate will be in commuting distance from the company’s head office in Swansea.

20 days holiday pro rata per annum.
