We’re introducing a new green additional borrowing range for Leeds Building Society residential and buy to let clients to support their home energy efficiency improvements – at a lower rate. Now could be a good time to explore how this could help you start conversations with clients about additional borrowing.

Your clients can borrow more to fund approved improvements such as:

  • Solar panels
  • Heat pumps
  • Windows and doors
  • Insulation
  • Underfloor heating
  • Electric car charging installation
  • Low energy lighting
  • Smart water tanks

Green additional borrowing – what you need to know

  • For Residential and Buy to Let clients (Not available for Ltd Company Buy to Let products).
  • Available at a lower rate than our standard additional borrowing range, through a system you already know – Mortgage Hub powered by MSO.
  • 0.35% proc fee amount, with minimum of £50.
  • To apply, you’ll need to upload a quote for the work to Mortgage Hub when submitting the application.
  • The loan must be primarily (more than 50%) used to carry out home improvement works to improve the energy efficiency of the property.
  • Lending criteria and affordability applies.
