As we reach the final stretch of 2025, I hope you’re managing to catch your breath after what’s been another fast-paced year for our industry. It’s certainly been a busy one here at Buckinghamshire Building Society, and in this edition I wanted to take a moment to look back, look ahead, and share a few important updates as we head into 2026. 

First of all, a huge thank you for your continued support. We know it’s been a challenging market at times, with criteria tightening in some areas and customer needs becoming increasingly complex. That’s why we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to strengthen our service and make it easier for you to place cases with us. 

Many of you will already know that our new Head of Intermediaries, Stuart Miller, recently joined the Society. Stu and I have jumped straight in together, reviewing processes, identifying where we can speed things up and making sure our teams are set up to deliver a smooth experience from first enquiry through to offer. You’ll see more of this work come through in the early part of next year and we’re excited about the improvements we’re already putting in motion. 

This is also the perfect time to make sure you’re fully up to speed with our products and criteria going into 2026. We’ve included an overview of key updates later in this newsletter, but nothing beats a conversation tailored to your business. If you haven’t spoken with one of our Key Account Managers recently, now’s a great time to book in a call or face-to-face appointment. They’re here to help you understand where we’re most competitive, talk through criteria scenarios and support you in placing those more unusual or complex cases.
