We have an update for you regarding indemnity search insurance:
- We are accepting Personal Searches and Search Insurance for all house purchase applications for the month of June to assist customers wanting to complete purchases prior to the stamp duty deadline.
- Personal Searches must be carried out by a firm regulated under the PCCB Board, ensuring the appropriate Indemnity cover is in place.
- Any Search Insurance must cover both the Borrower and the Society and be for the market value of the property and term of the mortgage.
- Whilst we already accept this for remortgages, we have opened this up to support purchasing customers as well during a potentially anxious time.
