A landlord wanted to split a Victorian house into three separate flats on a single freehold title, with intent to let on a short-term basis.

They wanted to remortgage to release equity for another purchase but struggled to find a lender that would consider multiple units under one title without forcing a split.

The solution:

Our 5-Year fixed Multiple Properties on One Title (MPOT) product allowed the landlord to remortgage all three units under a single mortgage, removing the need for expensive and complex title separation.

Our MPOT products can help with cases like this, where there are up to 4 individual properties on one freehold title. This particular product also offers a 5-year fixed rate, protecting against potential interest rate increases while the client expanded their portfolio and allows seasonal income or AST.
