Mortgage Changes Retention – Thursday 26 March 2026 (individual Products)

On Thursday (26 March 2026) we will be making the below changes to our mortgage range.

Product launching: Retention

There are limited products but the products are available to all customers below the LTV

  • New product DR 1606: The Residential Retention 2YF 85% at 5.27% is available to all customers till 85% LTV
  • Current product DR 1522: The Residential Retention 5YFix 90% at 5.07% is available to all customers till 90% LTV
  • Current Product DR 1482: The Residential Retention 2YFix 95% at 5.97% is available to all customers till 95% LTV
Important update: Temporary change to how valuation fees are paid

We’re getting in touch to let you know about a temporary change to how valuation fees are collected on Saffron for Intermediaries mortgage applications.

What’s changing?

From Wednesday 25 March, there will be a short-term change to the way valuation fees are paid. During this period, valuation fees will no longer be taken online and will instead need to be paid by phone using our secure automated payment line.

What does this mean for you?

  • The valuation fee payment step will be removed from the online portal
  • Where a valuation fee is required, payment will need to be made by phone
  • This is an interim solution, and we will provide further updates in due course

How to pay a valuation fee

When prompted to pay a valuation fee, please call

📞 0330 124 9057

Select Option 1, then Option 1 again

You’ll need:

  • Card payment details
  • The ‘M’ reference number for the application

What else do I need to know?

  • Applications can still be submitted as normal
  • Where applicable, payment of the valuation fee will be added as an offer condition, as the fee must be paid prior to mortgage completion
