It’s almost time for you to start accepting product transfer offers on behalf of your clients. It’s important you understand what you’ll need to do differently from Monday 17 November, as your client will no longer be accepting the offer.
Submitting a product transfer request
We’re making changes in the online mortgage transfer service.
There will be a new broker declaration where we’ll ask you to confirm you have your client’s permission to accept the product transfer offer on their behalf.
On the important information screen, you’ll be asked to tick two new boxes.
To confirm you’ve provided your client with either a mortgage illustration or a copy of the product transfer offer.
To confirm you have your client’s permission to accept the product transfer offer and to choose when it starts, if eligible to switch early.
It’s important you read the information detailed within the ‘What happens next’ section as you’ll now receive the email to let you know the product transfer offer is ready to review and accept instead of your client.
Look at the new screens in the view mortgage details or submit a product transfer guide.
Case tracking updates by email
From Monday 17 November, we’ll still send the same case tracking email updates to you and your clients, but we’re updating the wording to say you’ll now receive the offer and be accepting it on your client’s behalf.
Accepting a product transfer offer
We’ve renamed our guide to helping you accept your client’s product transfer and have updated it to include what the acceptance screens look like including the option to switch early, if eligible.
We recommend you review this guide before Monday 17 November to familiarise yourself with the changes.
Pipeline rules
All product transfer requests submitted after 6am on Monday 17 November, will need to be accepted by you on behalf of your client. This includes any changes to pre-booked deals submitted online after this date.
Any product transfer requests submitted before 10pm on Sunday 16 November, will still need to be accepted by your client.
