Halifax Intermediaries product changes – Friday 24 April 2026
We are making the following changes to our mortgage product range with effect from Friday 24 April:
Homemover and First time buyer
- Rate decreases of up to 0.15% on fixed rate products

- The product search tool on the Halifax Intermediaries website, Halifax Intermediaries Online and sourcing systems will be updated by Friday 24 April.
- To secure existing product codes, please submit applications in full by 8pm on Thursday 23 April.

Halifax Intermediaries – Apply by Friday 1 May: Lloyds Banking Group funded scholarship for the GFI Certificate in Financing Greener Homes
What’s new?
Lloyds Banking Group has partnered with the Green Finance Institute (GFI) to offer a fully funded scholarship for UK mortgage industry professionals to complete the GFI’s new Certificate in Financing Greener Homes. There are 300 funded places available.
What is the Certificate in Financing Greener Homes?
This on-demand, self-paced learning programme builds on the GFI’s existing Certificate in Green Mortgages. It is CPD-accredited by London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) and includes new case studies, interactive tools, quizzes, and access to a learning community.
Lloyds Banking Group is reinforcing its commitment to, and leadership within, the field of green home finance. The funding partnership with GFI will build industry capability to support homeowners with energy efficient home upgrades, providing professional training for 300 mortgage intermediaries and also for Lloyds Banking Group colleagues including Business Development Managers and specific support teams.

As part of the application you’ll be asked to explain:
- Why you want to take part
- How you think you will benefit from the scholarship
- What impact the training will have on your approach to advice and broader client conversations
The GFI and Lloyds Banking Group will review applications and select candidates based on the strength of responses. Places are limited, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
What happens if you are unsuccessful?
If the scheme is oversubscribed, we’ll contact unsuccessful applicants on the waiting list and offer to keep them updated on possible future opportunities.
