Process change
We have slightly amended our security calls process, and we now complete a KBA (Knowledge based authenticator) which is an additional check for us against fraud.
How this works
Each applicant goes through an identity verification process that starts with some short questions based on their credit profile.
The system generates 4 multiple choice questions tailored to the applicant.
If the applicant fails this first set, the system automatically presents a second set of 4 questions.
If they fail the second set as well, we then carry out a NIVO ID check to verify their identity.
We don’t see the applicants’ answers to the questions, we only receive a pass or fail result once each set is completed. If there’s a failure at both stages, that’s when the
NIVO ID check is triggered.
In addition to the changes we have made to our security calls, we have also added in an NIVO ID check on each case where we send £50k+ cashout in one transaction to the applicants direct.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
